Healthy Kids and Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic-Care-Nashville-TN

Chiropractic care may not be the first routine to come to mind when parents are establishing wellness plans for their kids, but it can be an integral component of a child’s overall health.

Every Kid Healthy™ Week (April 25-29) is a perfect time for you to explore all the benefits of chiropractic care for your little ones. Whether you’re interested for disease prevention, to deal with an acute concern, or to better manage a chronic condition, chiropractic care offers an affordable, gentle, drug-free, and non-invasive option for better health. Chiropractic care is effective and appropriate for children from infants to older teens; we see kids of all ages.

How Chiropractic Care Can Help

You may be surprised to learn that most common childhood issues can be improved through a regular schedule of chiropractic adjustments. When the chiropractic care is begun at an early age and continued consistently, it may actually help prevent these conditions from developing in the first place. Some of these include:

  • ADD and ADHD

  • Asthma and allergies

  • Autism spectrum disorders

  • Bedwetting

  • Breastfeeding difficulties

  • Ear infections

  • Common cold

  • Colic

  • Constipation

  • Headaches

  • Scoliosis

  • Sleep disorders

  • Sports injuries

Get a Free Scoliosis Screening During Every Kid Healthy Week .

According to the National Scoliosis Foundation, about 7 million people in the United States have scoliosis, which is an abnormal curvature of the spine. Most are diagnosed between the ages of 10 and 15, but the condition also affects infants and adults.

When left untreated, scoliosis can cause back pain and have long-term damaging effects on one’s heart and lung functions. Thankfully, most scoliosis cases are minor and only require the continued watchful eye of a healthcare professional. When diagnosed early and proper treatments are received on a regular basis, the majority of scoliosis patients go on to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.

Several common physical symptoms may clue you in that your child has scoliosis. Look for any type of asymmetrical characteristics of your child’s body: one shoulder is higher than the other; one shirtsleeve or pants leg is longer than the other; or the waist appears uneven.

A scoliosis screening only takes a few minutes, so bring your child in during April 25-29 for a complementary scoliosis screening. I’m passionate about helping your kids get and stay healthy. This screening is just the beginning.

If your child has any other health concerns, let me know. Contact me todayto set up a full appointment, so that we can get your child started with chiropractic care to begin a lifetime of wellness.
