Ultrasound therapy
Chiropractic Care Spring Hill

Ultrasound therapy is the use of ultrasonic waves (sound waves of a high frequency) to produce a mechanical vibration of the metal treatment head used against a patients skin. The treatment head is then moved over the surface of the skin in the region of the injury. A special ultrasound gel is placed on the skin to ensure maximal contact between the treatment head and the surface of the skin.

Ultrasound causes heat and vibration at the site of application which has been found to be very helpful in the treatment of myofascial trigger points, muscle knots and areas of tense muscles that are painful to touch.
