Get Fit & Feel Great This Summer

Summer is here and we all want to look and feel our very best! We also want to have the energy we need to enjoy fun summer activities with family and friends. Whether you struggle with weight or not, making simple adjustments to your diet, exercise routine, and building healthy habits, can make a dramatic difference in your health. Here are a few helpful suggestions to jumpstart your health goals for summer!

  • Eat Fat Burning Foods: One of the most important things you can do to improve your health is incorporating healthier foods into your regular diet. Click here for a list of 15 fat burning foodsthat can help you reach your goals. These foods will not only help you shed pounds and increase your energy, but can also reduce your risk of diabetes, obesity and even certain cancers.

  • Try a Juice Cleanse for 3 days to Re-boost your metabolism or make it a weekly 3-day habit: How can the fresh juice and raw foods diet be so beneficial? The most important aspect of raw juices and foods is the energy (biophotons) you derive from the live food. This energy is used rather than stored as fat, which is what tends to happen with a high cooked food and processed foods diet. Raw foods contain plenty of enzymes, which are destroyed during cooking. This means these foods really speed up the metabolism. The plant enzymes join with your own digestive system enzymes to promote the speed of your metabolism–how your body breaks down the nutrients necessary to lose weight and remain energized. I have personally been juicing for three days each week and feeling the energy increase and I have felt less bloated and more sleek when hitting the pool with my kids. That makes me happy! I am currently enjoying the juices at Daily Juice right down the street from my Brentwood office. Click here to read more about the benefits of juicing.

  • Take The Time to Stretch: Another key element of getting fit is of course, exercise. No matter what type of workout you prefer to do, be sure to incorporate stretching. Stretching primes cold muscles, increases motion and flexibility during your workout, and aids in the recovery process well after you’re all done. Click here for 5 basic stretches to get you started.

  • Incorporate Chiropractic Care: Last but not certainly not lest, stay on top of your spinal health with regular chiropractic care. What does this have to do with staying fit? Chiropractic care helps reduce and remove nerve interference by restoring increased functioning of your spinal column. The direct result is improved overall functioning of the rest of your body. By keeping your spine in proper alignment your entire body is able to function properly and reach it’s full potential.

Wishing you a happy & healthy summer!
